Heartless by Elsie Silver

Cade Eaton is thirteen years older than me and barely looks my way. Until I get him in the hot tub one night for a game of truth or dare. Then all bets are off - and so are our clothes.

He's gruff, a little rough around the edges, and it turns out broad-shouldered ranchers with filthy mouths are this city girl's kryptonite. So who am I to resist?

But in our quiet moments together, he softens, and I start to realise his hardened exterior is just a façade. Someone once convinced him that his best wasn't good enough. Yet I've never felt more cherished than I do in his arms.

My contract may say this arrangement is only for two months.

But my heart says this is forever.

Grumpy x Sunshine
Cowboy x Nanny
Enemies to Lovers

This book will forever have my heart. The only thing Grumpy and Closed Off Cowboy Cade wanted, was a Nanny for the Summer, so that he could provide for him and his son. What he got instead was a fiery redhead, who wanted nothing more than to see behind his shell. Cade was reluctant to let Willa work for him, but it was just for two months, right? As they learn to live with each other, he realizes that behind her careless facade was a woman who has the impression that she is too much to be loved. A feeling, that Cade could understand very well. With each passing day, they realize that you cannot run away from love when it finds you.

Witty, Sassy and Steamy. This book had all the good things you could ask for. I loved Willa, with her bubbly personality who knows exactly what she wants, and how to ask for it. She is not afraid to defend the people that she loves. No matter what. Also, her relationship with Luke was adorable.

And Cade, with his broody attitude which he tried to use to keep Willa at a distance. I hated the way his Ex saw him as nothing more than a bag of good genes that she could use to tie down with a baby.

I love Elsie Silvers writing; it was so flawlessly written, and she manages to bring this cozy vibe and feeling of home in every book that she writes. If there is a world where I would want to spend the rest of my life, then it would probably be in Chestnut Spring.

For me it’s a case of: If she writes it, I buy it.
