Primal by Vanessa Vale

I’m supposed to erase her memory, not claim her.
My son’s date knows too much. The most important rule of the pack has been broken: She’s seen him shift. The alpha orders me to make her forget, but one hint of her scent and I know the truth—this human is MINE.
Riley’s half my age. She has her whole life in front of her. If I claim her, I lock her into a fate she never even imagined. Besides, she thinks I’m a player–only out for one thing.
I should stay away. Should let her go. But Riley is too sweet, too beautiful, and far too mine.
Now she’s caught between our two worlds—one side thinks we should steer clear of each other. The other wants a forever bond…either way, she’ll suffer the consequences.
She doesn’t understand the bond between us, but I can’t protect her without it. When danger comes for her, she has to trust me to keep her safe—the wolf who was born to be hers.

What started with: Hey, the hot guy I had a crush in high school is finally kissing me, turned out to be: Oh shit, his even hotter father is claiming me as his mate! And they both are wolf shifters.

While Riley is trying to figure out what exactly that means, Cody is trying to give her space and time, even if it means to keep his … well…in his pants.

I loved the banter between Riley and Cody, the story had a good amount of spice, it was entertaining as hell and had a well written storyline. What started with me saying I will just read the first fifty pages and read the rest tomorrow turned in a two-hour session in which I could not stop reading this book.

You can read this story as a standalone without having to read the previous ones in the series.

A lot of people find half naked men on book covers to be cringy or not up to date, but I thought that It fitted perfectly with this story, and it has a beautiful color palette.

If you are on the search for a shifter romance with spice and suspense, then search no further dear reader, you have found it. I would definitively recommend this book and can say that it won’t be the last book that I read from the wolf shifter series.

Also, I would like say to thank you, dear Vanessa for the opportunity to be on your Arc Reader Team.
